CARIBBEAN CUP CONCACAF, AUGUST 5, 2026

Outstanding performance from VIOLETTE Athletic Club who defeated (3-0) their counterpart from FC Defence Force this Tuesday evening, August 4, 2026 at the PUCMM stadium in the opening match of the CARIBBEAN CUP OF CONCACAF.

It only took 13 minutes for the Old Tiger to bare its fangs and begin its rampage. It was Michen-Aider Chery who opened the scoring in the 13th minute, served by a monstrous pass from Elyvens Dejean after an overlap on the left flank.

The Blue and White machine ran perfectly this evening and Rony’s players were very disciplined and focused, as shown by Elyvens Dejean, who provided a second assist to Clifford Louis Jean, who came off the bench at halftime and doubled the lead to make it 2-0 in the 73rd minute of the match.

Involved in all the team’s good plays, Elyvens was at his best and his breathtaking overlaps finally paid off when he scored in the 86th minute, a golden performance for the native of the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac in his first Caribbean Cup match, who finished as the man of the match with two assists and one goal.

Notably, captain Steeven Saba was also on point for his return to the VAC midfield, not to mention Gooly Elien’s decisive performance with a clean sheet in his first international match with Violette AC.

To wrap things up, VAC Sporting Director Webens Prinsimé (Itala) congratulated and applauded the Old Tigers’ performance in the post-match press conference for their debut in this new Concacaf competition.
