The Executive Committee of the Violette Athletic Club hastens to inform the general public and its supporters in particular that it has received a communication from CONCACAF announcing the prohibition of playing the return leg of the semi-final against the Jamaican club Portmore United at the Cibao stadium in Santiago.
Following a mobilization announced by a Dominican nationalist organization named « Antigua Orden Dominicana » to oppose the holding of the match on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the Dominican authorities have decided to cancel the authorization previously granted to VAC to host its matches in the Dominican Republic.
Steps are underway to remedy this situation that occurred approximately 48 hours before the match, while the delegations of both teams have been on site for several days.
