Following its qualification for the final four and its status as group A leader, Violette AC has finally identified its opponent for the second phase of the Concacaf Caribbean Cup 2026. In the last match of group B, Portmore United, a Jamaican team, defeated Cibao FC 2-1, which allowed it to secure its place in the semifinals.
Portmore United’s passage to the semifinals has opened the way for it to join Violette AC in the fight for a spot in the final. And the Vieux Tigres achieved a superb first phase, with four triumphs in as many matches.
Rony Attimy and his teammates will play the first leg in Jamaica on October 13 next, then they will travel on October 20 to the Dominican Republic for the return leg, with a place in the final and qualification for the Concacaf Champions League 2027 at stake.
It will be an exciting clash between Haitians and Jamaicans, with two spots at stake: the final and the Champions League.
